How it works

From the moment you get in touch to your last re-test, every step is planned and written down, so whoever on our team works with you is working from the same plan.

1.

Talk to us.

Send us a WhatsApp message, or book a time for us to call you back. We ask a few questions, including a short safety check, and arrange your assessment. If anything on the check applies, we talk it through with you before anything is booked.

2.

Your assessment

Your baseline is 15 tests of strength, power, balance and movement, plus a body composition scan. Force plates show how you push into the ground. A strength frame measures how hard you push against a fixed pad. A 3D camera tracks how your joints move, with no markers or suits. A handheld device measures your grip.

3.

Your report

It all goes into plain English, in Your Movement and Strength Profile, grouped into five areas: body composition, strength, power, balance and symmetry, and movement and mobility. Your report starts with what’s strong, then shows exactly what we’ll work on next. We go through it with you, one to one.

4.

Your programme

We write your programme around what the numbers show and what your care team has told us. Your sessions are one-to-one, with a member of our team, following your written programme.

5.

Your re-tests

We re-test at session 10 and session 20, not on a calendar date. If you miss a week, the re-test simply moves with you. We test the same way as day one: same positions, about the same time of day. So the comparison is fair, and you see exactly what has changed.

About the body composition scan

Our body composition scan uses a small electrical signal to estimate your muscle, fat and water, arm by arm and leg by leg. It’s an estimate, not a direct measure. Food, fluids and recent exercise can shift it, so we scan you the same way every time. A hospital DXA scan uses a different method, so it is best to compare like with like.

Before your assessment

Once your appointment is set, we’ll email you a short intake form, a health questionnaire and a consent form, with notes on how to prepare. Please complete them at least two days before, so we can review them.
